As this is my first blog, at the beginning, I was somewhere between scared and excited...which is quite usual when doing something for the first time. So I started discovering this new and virtual world..where everyone can share their thoughts, pictures, travels, ideas, and anything else with other bloggers. In the end it's quite easy to understand how a blog works and once you've started sending the first few posts it gets easier and easier. Now, thanks to my brand-new blog I'll have the opportunity to develop a wider knowledge of the blogosphere...even if, to be honest, I don't really like the idea of publishing my "stuff" or reading other bloggers experiences...I prefer the real world, and real friends... Anyway...it can be a good exercise to practice colloquial and informal English...either by writing your own posts or by reading other students posts...you can always learn...but my advice is to read other blogs in a critical way...I mean, we are not english and sometimes our posts can be full of mistakes which are better not to learn!!At the end I think it is a very useful device if used in the proper way...So, be careful!!

Hi Valentina!
As I also wrote to Federico, I like the layout of your blog!! The picture you posted in your welcome message stands out against the black background. I also like your brief introduction in the sidebar, because it enables people to understand who you are.
By reading this post I understood that you prefer face-to-face interaction instead of sending and receiving messages online. I agree with you: it is really important to share nice moments with the people you know and love. Anyway, you also understood that blogs can be interesting and useful sources to practise informal English. This is true!!! We can read a lot of posts, and also receive advice from other people, and this will help us in improving and practising our English. You emphasized the importance of sharing thoughts and experiences, and this is very important! As you pointed out, we have also to be careful in accepting others’ comments, or learning from others, because we could learn incorrect things. Anyway, we don’t have to be sceptical, because I’m sure that blogs can help us in our language learning!
I agree with you about the easiness of writing a blog. Even though many students didn’t know how to create a blog or to post messages (and sometimes they got lost ;-) ), they learnt very quickly. Blogs don’t require programming languages, so anyone can have a blog and share his/her own opinions! This is fascinating!
Your post is concise and well-written. Anyway, I’d like to tell you some mistakes I found, and I hope you will appreciate them! If you find some mistakes in my posts, write them in your comments. Thank you very much!!!
‘to practise’: verb / ‘practise’: noun
‘English’ and not ‘english’
See you soon and happy Halloween!

Hi Valentina! I'm happy to share this experience with you. We don't know each other so well, but I knew you just a little bit better during our lesson last Monday and I think you're very nice.
I enjoyed your blue picture and appreciated the meaning of it. You know a door can have wonderful meanings and has often to do with opportunities, changes and experiences.
As you probably read in my post, I'm not so good at working with a computer but I have to admit that using a blog is not that difficult.
In my last post I wrote that I prefer face-to-face conversation...so we both think is quite better that commenting on posts. Maybe you'll be one of the people I will share that coffee with!
Moreover, you made me reflect when you said that we should also be careful and read our peer's posts with a critical eye. It's true, the risk could be that of learning mistakes. Thank you for your advice!
I hope to see you next Monday.
Bye, Federico.
